Born in Khan Younis 1953, where he finished his secondary education, studied English language literature at Cairo University 1978; president of the Israeli Affairs Dept. of the Palestinian Planning Center in Tunisia from 1983-1993; he returned to Gaza and currently works at the Ministry of Culture/ Head of the Translating Dept; won the Palestine Prize in 1997.
