Rebhi Halloum was born in al-Mazra'a ash-Sharqiya, Ramallah 1939. 
Rebhi has worked as a commentator of (Sout Al Arab) and (Baghdad) broadcasts (1962-1963); media director in Dubai/ United Arab Emirates 1968-1971; ambassador of Palestine for 15 years in the following countries:
Brazil (1972-1973)  
Afghanistan (1976-1977)
Emirates (1978-1979)
Turkey (1979-1990)
Indonesia (1990-1991)

Halloum has also served as vice-president of the Palestine Liberation Organization's Political Dept., member of the Palestinian National Council; member of Fatah Revolutionary Council until his retirement in 1991; lecturer and a visiting scholar in numerous Arabic and foreign universities, chairman of the Jordanian Writers Society's Palestine Committee.
