Taleb Abu Abd was born in Haifa in 1941. In 1948, he and his family migrated to Damascus, Syria where he received his elementary and secondary education, studied Philosophy in Damascus University.

Taleb has been working in journalism since 1961, he is a founding member of the General Union for the Palestinian Writers and journalists; member of the Journalists Union in Syria. He has published many political studies in the Palestinian newspapers.
