Mahfoth Museis is a well known Palestinian poet, he was born in Chile 1916, to a Palestinian father from Jerusalem and a Lebanese mother, his father named him Antonio but he changed his name to Mahfoth as he is proud of his Arabic roots.

Museis has many published books translated to many languages. He died in 1990.
