Fadwa Al-Qasim (1962 Lebanon) is a Palestinian writer with Canadian citizenship. She has published a number of short stories in Arab literary periodicals, in addition to two short story collections and a translated novel.
She was born in Lebanon, she is Tripolitan by birth, but in fact she is of Palestinian origin and holds Canadian citizenship. She speaks four languages (Arabic, English, French and Spanish). She first arrived in Dubai in 1984 and has lived there for 20 years.
She holds a BA in English literature from Britain.
She has published a number of short stories in Arab literary periodicals, such as the Beirut Literature Journal, Cairo Literature News, the London-based Al Quds Al Arabi newspaper, and the Emirati Culture Supplement in Al Bayan. She also published her stories in English as part of an anthology in Britain, as well as her translation of short stories.
