Henry Cattan (in English: Henry Cattan) (1906 in Jerusalem - 1992) is a writer from Palestine.
He attended the Freer School (Jerusalem), completed his studies in journalism at the University of London in 1926, and obtained the practice of law from the University of Paris in 1929. He completed an MA from the University of London in 1932, and joined the Palestinian Bar Association in 1932. He worked as a lecturer at the Palestinian Institute of Law in Jerusalem Until 1942.
He was a member of the Palestine Law Council (1940-1948), presented evidence before the Anglo-Saxon Commission of Inquiry into the Palestine Question in 1946 on behalf of the Arab Higher Committee, and participated in the Palestinian delegation before the United Nations General Assembly at its second emergency session in Lake Success in New York . The League of Arab States decided to appoint him to participate in talks with Count Bernadotte.
He settled in Paris after the Nakba. He has published books including: Palestine, Arabs and Israel: The Search for Justice (1969), Palestine and International Law (1976), Gardens of Joy (1982). He passed away in Paris in 1992.
