Sami Mahmoud al-Kilani (born 1952) is a Palestinian nonfiction writer, academic, and political activist. He was born in Ya'bad in the Jenin district. He studies at An-Najah National University. He is a member of a number of Palestinian political and literary organizations, so he held several positions. He is the author of several literary works, short story books, and a children's story. He also has two poetry collections.

Sami Mahmoud Salim Zaid Al-Kilani was born in the year 1372 AH / 1952 AD in Ya`bad, in the Jenin region of Palestine. He holds a PhD in Social Work and Human Rights. He worked as a teacher at An-Najah National University, then as a lecturer and dean. He was arrested several times and placed under house arrest. Including, in Ansar 3 detention center in the Negev in May 1989.

He is a current or former member of the Administrative Board of the Palestinian Writers Union, the Palestinian delegation to the peace talks at the 1991 Madrid Conference, and the Palestinian National Council. He worked as the Director of the Public Relations Department at An-Najah National University and the Director of the Community Service Center affiliated to the same university.

He is considered one of the most prominent representatives of the Palestinian Arab non-violent movement. He founded the Community Service Center at the university based on the idea of volunteering and education. In this field, he was awarded the Director of the Peacebuilding and Civil Society Program of McGill University in February 2010.
