Mustafa Marar (February 28, 1929-December 14, 2021) was a Palestinian children's storyteller and writer from the Arabs of the interior. He published hundreds of stories, social articles, and children's stories. He published 18 collections of stories and six collections of stories, and the total number of books he wrote reached 86 books. He also Arabized 22 books. His stories were translated into Arabic, English, French, Spanish, and German.

his life and biography
He was born and raised in a family of farmers in the Palestinian village of Jaljulia, near the city of Qalqilya. He learned from the village book. He finished his primary studies at the Kafr Jamal village school due to the lack of a school in his village, Andak. It helps him to pursue his education, so he returned to Jaljulia to work alongside his family in agriculture. In 1948, the year of the Nakba, he was injured in an explosion and lost his leg. He was transferred for treatment in Nablus Hospital, but he was forced to return in 1949 following the Rhodes Agreement, according to which his village within the triangle area was annexed to the Israeli borders. .

In the year 1952 and after the establishment of the State of Israel, he finished his studies at the Teachers’ House in Jaffa, and then joined the teaching staff between 1958 and 1961. He prepared and presented a radio program for children. He was appointed chief editor of the Arab Publishing House in 1973, and later in 1975 he completed his academic studies at Bar University Ilan in the subjects of Arabic language and political science and continued to teach and write until his early retirement in 1982. Mustafa Murar served as a member of the Arab Culture Committee in the Ministry of Education, the Arab Writers Association in Israel, the Israel Writers Union, the International Organization of Writers, and a member of the Interfaith Fraternity Association in Israel.

His involvement in educational work and his daily closeness to the world of children expanded his interest in the experience of children’s literature and the attempt to produce and write for this category. “My Magazine” and then he started writing in the pages dedicated to children in Al-Ittihad and Al-Sunara newspapers, and after the reissue of Al-Islah magazine, he became involved in its editorial board and began providing it with children’s stories permanently.
