Information

Born in Al-'Abbasiya (was a Palestinian Arab village in the Jaffa Sub-district) 1926, lived in Palestine, Jordan, Syria, and Egypt. Abu Shilbayeh was educated in Al-'Abbasiya village, then he moved to Egypt where he received a Licentiate in Arabic language from Cairo University in 1950, taught in Aleppo, Irbid and Jerusalem. He was arrested by the Syrian authorities because of his political opinions; writer of (Al-Hawadeth) Magazine. In 1957, he was arrested by the Jordanian authorities for five years as a result of his affiliation with the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Part - Syria Region, died in Jerusalem in 1995 and buried there.
