Tawfiq Abu Sharif was born in Kafr 'Aqab, District of Ramallah in 1914. He joined the American University of Beirut; graduated in 1937 with an Ijazih in Politics and Economics. He then returned to Palestine where he was appointed as a school teacher in Jerusalem, joined the Palestinian Law Institute, worked at the Palestinian Broadcast for four years. Tawfiq has also worked at the Arab Bank in Haifa and Jordan for several years.
