Information

Born in Jerusalem 1894. During the World War I, he contributed to the Ottoman army. In 1918 he joined the Arab Legion, which was leaded by the Prince Faisal Ben Alhussain, in Aqaba, Jordan; after the winning of the Axis powers in the (WWI), he returned to Jerusalem. In 1922, he moved to Britain and joined the University of London; obtained a certificate in Education. He received his MA in Literature from the same university in 1938; appointed as a lecturer at the American University of Beirut and worked there until his retirement in 1960. In 1960 he moved to Jordan; appointed as a Professor at the University of Jordan until 1965 when he came back to Beirut to resides there.
