Talaat Saqirq is a Palestinian poet. He was born in Tripoli, Lebanon, on March 18, 1953, to a family that was expelled from Haifa, and he died in Syria on October 17, 2011. He grew up in Damascus, where he received his education until the end of high school, after which he studied at Damascus University and obtained a BA in Arabic literature in 1979.

He has worked in journalism - and still is - since 1976.

He is the cultural official in the Voice of Palestine magazine since 1979.

Director of the Syria and Lebanon office for the weekly newspaper Shababeek, which has been published in Malta since 1997.

Director of Dar (Al-Maqdisiyyah) for printing, publishing and distribution in Syria.

Owner and editor-in-chief of Al-Mesbar magazine.

Director of the Arab Creators Association.

Member of the Union of Arab Writers and Palestinian Journalists.

Member of the Federation of Journalists in Syria.

His writings were divided between poetry, story, novel, very short story, and literary criticism. He also wrote one-act plays, some of which he presented on stage, and wrote folk songs sung by many groups and presented on radio and television in several Arab countries. He wrote in many Arab newspapers and magazines. Some of his poetic and critical works were also broadcast on several radio stations. Criticism has dealt with his creative works in many Arab newspapers, magazines, radio and television. I had many interviews with him about his literature on television, radio, newspapers and magazines.
