Information

Mufleh Tabouni is a Palestinian poet born in Nazareth in 1949 and lives there. And its schools. He joined the Technion Institute of Engineering Sciences and continued his studies at the El Fizzo College in Haifa, where he obtained a degree in Architectural Design. He was active in the ranks of the Communist Party and the national forces in defending the rights of the Arab minority and the Palestinian masses in the country. He worked in the engineering field for three decades. He is currently working in the cultural and creative field in the city of Nazareth. He has many educational contributions through lectures and seminars in which he participates in order to educate students and young people and make them aware of various national topics.

His Poetry: The poet Mufleh Tabooni dealt with the literary text in poetry and prose over five decades. He published a large number of poems and literary and political articles in Arab and local newspapers and magazines. Especially in Al-Ittihad newspaper, Al-Jadeed and Al-Ghad magazine. He has co-edited Al-Jadeed Al-Haifawi magazine. What distinguishes Al-Tabouni’s poetic and literary creativity is its simplicity, its softness, its delicacy, the beauty of its words, the flow of its images, and the clarity of its vision, along with the intellectual and class commitment that is always biased towards the concerns of its people and the issues of the downtrodden, the toiling and the poor with an authentic and upscale humanity.

In an interview with the poet Muflih Tabooni, “Considering the prose poem in terms of technical aspects and not the poems that are different from it, is nothing but a decline in controversy that inevitably leads to a dryness of logic. And in the era of modernity and post-modernism, we cannot help but perceive the goal with our senses and lenses that capture poetic images. They pass, my interlocutors, the reputation of the prose poem to highlight the honor of the activation poem, just as it happened with the activation poem when it appeared to install the traditional vertical poem.

From the sayings of Al-Tabouni, our creative Palestinian words in most of them emit the scent of their perfume in our plains and valleys, over our hills and the tops of our mountains. It blends with our flowers, identifies with our comforts and joys, and is governed by communication with all the decree above the pages of honesty, honesty, openness and symmetry with giving. We did not live far from heritage, nor did strange theories and fat ideologies keep us away from our heritage and its contents... We did not sanctify what came from the West, but rather had dialogue with it and benefited from it in order to preserve our heritage and historical extension, we communicated with our positive cultural heritage, and our openness to Western cultures keep us away from our heritage.

He was one of the writers who contributed to the establishment of the Arab Writers Union in the country. But he stood out more as a poet.
