Bisher Jardaneh was appointed Executive Managing Director, Arabtech Jardaneh Group, Jordan, in 1999. Prior to this he was a Corporate Director, having joined M.A.R. Jardaneh and Partners, Jordan, after military service. The group, which has businesses spanning several engineering sectors and covering a large part of the mid-east, was awarded the King Abdullah II Award, Jordan's most prestigious award for excellence as a supplier of major services. Bisher has a B.Sc. (Hons) in civil engineering from the University of Illinois, USA, and a M.Sc. in construction management from the University of California, Berkeley, USA. He is Member of the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) and is the immediate Past-Chair of the Architects and Engineers Business Council, Jordan, that with the JEA’s Engineering Offices Committee makes up the FIDIC member, the Jordan Architects and Consulting Engineers Council, which he was instrumental in founding and of which he is the Vice-President. He also serves on the boards of two Jordanian banks, on the Jordan Enterprise Board, on the Royal Commission of Kuluna Al Urdun, on the Social Security Investment Commission, on the Infrastructure Committee for Jordan's National Agenda, and on the Royal Commission on Jordan’s Water Strategy. He is Member of the Jordanian-American and Jordanian-European Business Associations and is Vice-Chairman, Zaha Foundation for Children, and a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Welfare Association.
