CAIRO – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), has recently participated in the High-level Meeting on Scientific Diplomacy, thyat was organized by the Union for the Mediterranean, the League of Arab States, and the European Commission.
This meeting, a global platform for experts and academics around the world, is dedicated to promoting scientific practices in the digital era. It also provides a unique opportunity to share ideas and expertise related to institutions’ implementation of innovative approaches.
The meeting, held at the premises of the Arab League, was attended by diplomats and institutes’ directors, in addition to the Former President of the European Commission, Mr. Romano Prodi, Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean, Mr. Nasser Kamel, Deputy Secretary General for Research and Innovation, Mr. Josep Borrell, Secretary-General of the Arab League, Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and Deputy Director-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission, Mr. Signe Ratso.
The participation of TAG.Global, represented by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital University (TAGGDU) and TAGEPEDIA Knowledge Platform, underscored its role as a prominent entity in digital education, providing valuable insights on educational curricula and addressing the challenges of ongoing training in schools and universities worldwide.
During the proceedings, TAG.Global emphasized the importance of embracing principles of virtual education in light of the digital era, addressing the challenges and opportunities the scientific community is going through amid digital advancement. TAG.Global’s discussion also focused on the need to strengthen Arab scientific cooperation and enhance contribution to the global scientific landscape.
Regarding the participation of TAG.Global, Mr. Ala Turaani, TAGEPEDIA Knowledge Platform executive director, stated: “We believe in the transformative power of science and knowledge in the digital transformation era, which drives progress and innovation. Our participation in this conference reinforces TAG.Global’s commitment to supporting the digital scientific community in the Arab region and globally.”
Furthermore, TAG.Global recognizes that the reality of education today indicates numerous challenges facing educational institutions and ministries, necessitating concerted efforts to elevate education standards in line with requirements of sustainable development needs. Consequently, TAG.Global expressed hopes that the outcomes of this forum will provide important insights for addressing the various issues affecting the educational landscape in the Arab region.
TAGEPEDIA Knowledge Platform is a comprehensive project that combines learning and training programs from top global universities. These programs have been categorized on the platform in a way that facilitates easy and quick access. Learning programs have been classified according to different academic degrees (PhD, Master's, Bachelor's, and Diploma), they have been categorized in cooperation with specialized international institutions based on the required skills (technical, technological, managerial, and linguistic).
