Aref Salim Al-Masoudi, a Palestinian journalist, has worked on Voice of Palestine Radio since he was a student at Ain Shams University in Cairo in the 1960s, and traveled on the diaspora journey between Cairo, Daraa, Baghdad and Algeria. The late is considered one of the founders of the Palestinian Radio and Television Corporation in Ramallah after his return to the Palestinian territories in the 1990s. He presented the “Religion and Life” program on Palestinian television for more than 15 years. He also worked as a lecturer at the Faculty of Mass Communication at Birzeit University for more than 12 years, and was a prominent notable of Deir Ballut, west of Salfit.
His life and studies
Aref Salim Khader was born in the village of Deir Ballut, west of Salfit on June 18, 1946, and received his primary, preparatory and secondary education in the village schools, Kafr Al-Deek and Al-Najah School in Nablus, then obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Ain Shams University, Department of Arabic Language in 1969 in Egypt, and a training Practically in Sawt Al-Arab, Cairo, 1968. A course in radio programs from the Cairo Broadcasting Training Institute in 1971.
practical career
The late worked from 1968 - 1974 as a broadcaster and head of the broadcasters department, and director of Voice of Palestine Radio in Cairo, Baghdad, Algeria and Syria.
He moved to Libya to work as a broadcaster on Radio Libya and then as general manager of programs, from 1974-1984
In 1984, he worked as a broadcaster in Sawt al-Falasteen, Baghdad branch, then an editor in the central media in Amman and a reporter for the Saudi newspaper Al-Youm, an editor in the Jordanian newspaper Al-Dustour, and managing editor in the Jordanian newspaper Shehan until 1994.
In 1995, he became a broadcaster on Voice of Palestine Radio and then Director General of the Palestinian Radio and Television Corporation until 2005.
In addition to his radio work, the late worked as a part-time lecturer at the Department of Media - Faculty of Arts at Birzeit University from 2000-2008.

Certificates of Honor
The journalist, Aref Selim, was awarded the Medal and Shield of the Tenth Festival of Radio and Television - Cairo in 2005. He received certificates of appreciation from the Palestinian Radio and Television Authority, the House of Poetry, political guidance and the homeland in Palestine.a
