Sheikh Mustafa Al-Khairy, mayor of Ramla for twenty-seven years, made great efforts to modernize Ramla and provide it with water, electricity and road networks. Ramla was the communication link between Ramla and Jaffa, and Sheikh Mustafa is a graduate of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. May God have mercy on him, he was the last person to leave Ramla after the Zionist occupation of it.
