Born in Dheisheh Refugee Camp in 1959, where he received his primary and secondary education. Abu Laban was sentenced for 20 years in prison by the Israeli authorities; exiled to Jordan, he currently works at the Embassy of The State of Palestinian in Amman, wrote his poems while he was in prison.
