Salah 'Abd al-Fattah al-Khalidi (1 December 1947 – 28 January 2022[) (18 Muharram 1367 AH - 25 Jumada al-Akhira 1443 AH) is a Muslim scholar, academic lecturer specializing in interpretation and Qur'anic sciences, Jordanian teacher, imam and preacher of Palestinian origin born in Jenin. He worked in university teaching for about 35 years, and has in it - and then - many seminars, lessons and literature, and was full-time in his last years so, his application for knowledge began with obtaining a mission to Al-Azhar in 1965 and there the sheikh took the Azhar High School, then entered the Faculty of Sharia and graduated from it in 1970 and then studied master's degree in 1977 at Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, and the thesis he submitted was entitled: Sayyid Qutb and artistic photography in the Qur'an came in two sections: the first section is about the life of Sayyid Qutb, and the second is about artistic photography in the Qur'an. The discussion took place in 1980 and consisted of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hassan Farhat as supervisor, Prof. Mohammed Qutb as discussant and Sheikh Mohammed Al-Rawi as discussant. The Sheikh received his PhD in Tafseer and Qur'an Sciences in 1984 from the same university, and the thesis was entitled: In the Shadows of the Qur'an – Study and Evaluation and was also supervised by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hassan Farhat, and discussed by Sheikh Manna Al-Qattan and Prof. Dr. Adnan Zarzour.
Among the most prominent sheikhs who were disciples of Sheikh Musa al-Sayyid – one of the scholars of Palestine – were Sheikh Muhammad al-Ghazali and Sheikh Abdul Halim Mahmoud. Al-Khalidi was greatly influenced by Sheikh Sayyid Qutb and his connection with the Sheikh was a relationship of love and discipleship, while a personal connection between Sheikh Salah and Professor Sayyid Qutb was not a personal connection, but rather discipled by the Sheikh on his books.
Working life
He returned from his studies in Cairo in 1970 and was appointed to the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf in 1971 and his appointment was in Tafila, he began his work as a preacher and progressed in positions until he became the director of endowments in it, he asked for a transfer in 1975, to be appointed assistant to the director of the endowments of Salt, and a year later, he was sent to study a master's degree in Riyadh and returned from it in 1980, he worked as a teacher (affiliated with the endowments) at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences in the Abdali area , in the period from 1981 until his retirement from Awqaf in 1991 and his last work was as Dean of the College, and in the same period he worked as a part-time teacher in a number of faculties of Sharia in a number of universities, including Jordan and Yarmouk, and in the period 1991-1998 he worked as a teacher in the Faculty of Da'wah and Fundamentals of Religion, which was affiliated with the Awqaf in this period, and after the college was annexed to Balqa University he worked as a professor until 2008, after which he moved to teach at the International Islamic Sciences University and continued to do so until Year 2015.

Death
Dr. Salah Al-Khalidi died on Friday, January 28, 2022 in Amman after contracting the Coronavirus.
