Hatem Muhammad Hilmi Abd al-Samee Bakri (born March 9 , 1964 in Hebron ) is a Sharia judge and preacher of the Ibrahimi Mosque . He served as Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs in the State of Palestine since the limited ministerial reshuffle of the government of Muhammad Shtayyeh on January 1, 2022 until March 31, 2024.
His life
Al-Bakri obtained a BA in Islamic Sharia from Hebron University .
He was the director of the office of the mayor of Hebron , the deputy head of the Sharia Court of Appeal, and the secretary of the Supreme Council of the Sharia Judiciary in the State of Palestine .
He ran on the Fatah movement list to run in the 2021 Palestinian legislative elections. It was announced that it was postponed by decree of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on April 30, 2021.
