Sheikh Hazem bin Saeed Haider Saeed Al Karmi ( 18 February 1964 in Tulkarm - ) a scholar, jurist and reciter, born in the Palestinian city of Tulkarm , a scholar in the field of Quranic sciences and interpretation , reciter and teacher of the Noble Qur’an in the Prophet’s Mosque , and director of the Digital Research Center for the Qur’an Service The Holy Quran and its Sciences in the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Noble Qur’an in Medina .
His upbringing and educational attainment
Sheikh Hazem Saeed Haider Saeed Al-Karmi was born in the city of Tulkarm in the State of Palestine on February 18, 1964. [ He received his education in the schools of his city of Tulkarm , and memorized the Holy Qur’an since his childhood, and studied the science of Tajweed in his city of Tulkarm , and his grandfather Saeed Al-Karmi was a sheikh. In the city of Tulkarm , Sheikh Hazem Al- Karmi traveled to Medina in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to receive more forensic sciences .The Ten Readings , Quranic sciences, Sharia sciences and Arabic language sciences. After graduating, he joined the Graduate Studies Department at the same university, and obtained a master’s degree with distinction in interpretation and Quranic sciences, then obtained a doctorate with first honors in interpretation and Quranic sciences from the same university. During that time, he was reading and receiving readings and various sciences outside the university, and in the Prophet’s Mosque , according to the scholars of Madinah and others.
Work experience
- Teaching the Qur’an, readings and others at his home and at the Prophet’s Mosque.
- Teaching the subject of the sciences of the Holy Qur’an and the subject of endowment, initiation and intonation during the explanation of the island introduction system , in the course of preparing the teachers of the Holy Qur’an at the Society for Memorizing the Holy Qur’an in Madinah from 1413 AH to 1417 AH.
- Teaching in the Tajweed Course held by the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Noble Qur’an at the Prophet’s Mosque.
- Participation in seminars held by the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur'an.
- Participated in evaluating many of the research submitted to the seminars held by the Society.
- Evaluation of many research papers submitted to the Mosque Architecture Symposium held at King Saud University in Riyadh.
- Evaluation of many master's and doctoral theses and books submitted for printing in the complex.
- Supervising the preparation of a glossary ( index ) of the works of interpretation of the Noble Qur’an issued by the Scientific Affairs of the Academy.
- Participated in the study and investigation of the book ( Al-Itqan fi Ulum Al- Qur’an ) by Al-Hafiz Al-Suyuti , issued by the Academy’s Scientific Affairs.
- Discussion of several master's and doctoral theses at Jinan University in Tripoli - Lebanon.
- Presenting a course entitled: “Introducing the Noble Qur’an” at King Fahd Mosque, may God have mercy on him, under the organization of the Imam Shatibi Institute in Jeddah .
- A workshop within the activities of the Second International Conference on Teaching the Noble Qur’an “The Prophet’s Approach in Teaching the Noble Qur’an” in Bahrain , entitled:
- (The endowment and the beginning in the Book of God).

- Sheikh Abd al-Salam Habous al-Masri: He memorized most of the Qur’an with the narration of Hafs on the authority of Asim from al- Shatibya .
- Sheikh Ammar bin Tawfiq Al-Badawi: He received the knowledge of Tajweed from the city of Tulkarm in Palestine .
- Sheikh Mahmoud bin Raji Hassan: He received the knowledge of Tajweed from him.
- The scholar Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Al-Zayat : He read to him in Cairo and then in Madinah Al - Munawwarah a conclusion with the ten readings from the path of Shatibiya and Al - Durra, and another with Hafs on the authority of Asim from Al-Taybeh and approved by them. Ibn al-Tahhan al-Samati.
- Sheikh Muhammad Karim bin Saeed Rajeh (Sheikh of the Qur’aan in Damascus): He required his lessons during his stay in Damascus, and he recited the Qur’an to him according to the narration of Hafs from Al-Shatibya, and authorized him to do so.
- Sheikh Ayman Rushdi Suwaid : He read Al- Jazari in Jeddah, in absentia, in one sitting, and he authorized it.
- Sheikh Muhammad Tamim Al-Zoubi: He read to him some intonation with the explanation of the introduction to the island, and he recited a conclusion to him in the narration of Hafs from Asim from the goodness and approved it, and he recited the seven readings individually and then collectively, until the end of Surat Al-Tawbah , and he did not complete it.
- Sheikh Muhammad bin Saleh Al-Uthaymeen : He attended his lessons at the Grand Mosque in Ramadan for several years.
- Sheikh Abd al-Fattah al-Sayyid Ajmi al-Marsafi: He read to him some of the explanation of the introduction to Tajweed, and he read a conclusion in the narration of Hafs from al-Shatibya, and he approved it, then he recited to him the seven from al-Shatibiyya together to the Almighty’s saying {And We wrote for them in it} from Surat Al-Ma’idah .
- Sheikh Muhammad al-Muntasir bin Muhammad Jaafar al-Kitani : He studied on him the explanation of the Musnad of Imam Ahmad in the Prophet’s Mosque, and he approved it with his narrations in the hadith.
- Sheikh Abd al-Rahman al-Bari: Hafs recited to him from al-Shatibya to the verse “God has forgiven the Prophet and the Muhajirin and the Ansar” from Surat al-Tawbah and he did not complete it.
- Sheikh Abu al-Hasan Muhyi al-Din al-Kurdi (Sheikh of the Qur’an of Zaid bin Thabit in Damascus ): He recited to him in Damascus the Noble Qur’an of Hafs on the authority of Asim from al-Shatibia to the end of Surat Al Imran .
- Sheikh Muhammad Ali Mishaal: He read to him in jurisprudence , interpretation , and the principles of jurisprudence .
- Sheikh Muhammad Awamah: He read the term hadith to him .
- Sheikh Abdul Mohsin Hamad Al-Abbad : He read some of the hadith books to him.
- Sheikh Muhammad bin Nasser Al-Suhaibani: He read it in jurisprudence and something in interpretation.
- Sheikh Attia Muhammad Salem : He read to him the book Al-Muqni’ by Ibn Qudamah, and the explanation of Al-Muwatta, and the principles of jurisprudence.
- Sheikh Muhammad Al-Mukhtar bin Muhammad Al-Amin Al-Shanqeeti : He read to him the book Al-Umda by Ibn Qudamah .
- Sheikh Ali bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi: He read to him the book (Manar Al-Sabil Sharh Kitab Al-Daleel) by Ibn Dowayan.
- Sheikh Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Amin Al-Shanqeeti: He read the principles of interpretation to him .
- Sheikh Muhammad Al-Mukhtar bin Muhammad Al-Amin Al-Shanqti: He read the rules of jurisprudence to him .
- Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad Othman: He read it in the interpretation.
- Sheikh Ahmed bin Abdul Qadir Al-Qalash: He read to him in rhetoric , presentations, grammar , literature , and some of the principles of jurisprudence from the book Al-Risala by Imam Al-Shafi’i .
- Sheikh Bakri bin Abd al-Majid al-Tarabishi : The Qur’an was read to him from the beginning to the Almighty’s verse “The Successful Ones” in Surat Al-Baqarah with the ten minor readings, and he permitted them to do so.
