Maryam Bisharat won the gold medal
in the World Karate League Championship for the junior and youth categories
under 21 years, which was held in the Emirate of Fujairah in the United Arab
Emirates, after she passed all the elimination rounds.
Bisharat starred in the tournament
by defeating her competitors from Uzbekistan and Spain, and then the final over
her German counterpart.
The Olympic Committee congratulated
the player Bisharat on this achievement, which comes as a culmination of the
federation's tireless work in sponsoring his talents from all age groups.
The Olympiad praised the Karate
Federation system, its board of directors and its technical committees,
stressing that it is one of the distinguished and active federations that work
according to a technical plan and a clear vision, aimed at preparing qualified
players to compete in international forums.
The World Karate League
Championship, which is being held in its first edition, includes 1,196 male and
female players, representing 67 countries from around the world.
This coronation comes after the gold
medal of the Asian Championship, which was recently achieved by player Mustafa
Bisharat in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, last December.
