Ziad Ashish (October 20 - 1998)
player of the Jordanian national team for boxing, and he is the brother of the
player Hussein Ashish. He began practicing boxing in 2009 in the Jordan Youth
Center in Al-Baqaa camp, and joined the ranks of the Jordanian national team in
2014. His first participation with the Jordanian national team was in an
international tournament in Turkey in 2014. 2015 and succeeded in 2020 by qualifying
for the Tokyo Olympics.

Ashish was able to qualify for the
Tokyo Olympics after winning the gold medal in the under-69 kg competition in
the boxing tournament that qualifies for the Tokyo Olympics for the continents
of Asia and Oceania.
In that tournament, Ziyad opened his
career by defeating the Australian, Malia Jason, and then won in the
quarter-finals against the Samoan player, Marion Faustino, to ensure his
qualification for the Tokyo Olympics, and then won in the semi-finals against
the first seed, the Asian champion, and the bronze holder of the World

weight because his Indian opponent, Krishna Vikas, did not climb into the ring
due to his injury.
Ziad Ashish also won the bronze
medal at the Asian Games in Indonesia in 2018 and was the only Arab boxer to
win a medal in that tournament.
