Mahmoud Omar Shalabiya , born on May 20, 1980 in Jordan , is a Jordanian footballer of Palestinian origin . [ 1 He began his football career with Al-Wehdat Club in 1998 after 3 years with the club's youth teams, and he still plays with the club. He has also played with the Jordan national football team since 1999.
He has several international participations, most notably the 2004 Asian Cup, in which he scored a goal against Japan . He is the second best scorer in the history of the Jordanian national team after Badran Al-Shaqran, who scored 45 goals, while Shalabiya scored 32 goals in 68 matches. He is the best scorer in the history of Al-Wehdat, with 131 goals.
