Ghadeer Ghorof (born September 12, 1990 in Jericho ) is a Palestinian track and field athlete, representing Palestine internationally in this field.
Her sports career
With a deformity in her ankles that made it difficult for her to walk, her treatment was delayed until she was ten years old, and shortly after that, she took an interest in running, and began regular training with the help of her therapist, coach Yousef Hamadneh, and in 2002 she won first place in the first athletics championship for a distance of 1500 meters, and became part of the main athletics team in the Jericho and Jordan Valley Governorate, and in 2002 she won first place in the 1500 meters competition at the level of education schools in the northern governorates, and participated in the Arab School Athletics Championship held in Amman despite my young age, and with the Palestinian national team in the third Baghdad International Suburb race and won sixth place out of 500 participants. Between 2003 and 2007 she became the Palestinian national champion for her age group in the 100, 200 and 400 meters races for women
In 2006, she was the youngest competitor at the Indoor Athletics Championships in Moscow. She specializes in short-distance races, winning the gold medal in the 200 m and the silver medal in the 100 m at the 2006 Asian International Meeting, held in Jordan for girls under 20 years of age.
Grove represented Palestine at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, competing in the 100 metres, finishing seventh and not advancing to the second round, running the distance in 13.07 seconds.
