Yazan Al-Bawwab (October 30, 1999 – ), Palestinian nationality, was one of five Palestinian swimmers who represented the country at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics . He competed in the men's 100-meter freestyle at the Tokyo Aquatics Center . He finished third in his group and holds the world record in the 50- and 100-meter freestyle events.
His personal life
Al-Bawab holds Palestinian and Italian citizenship , studied engineering at Carleton University in Ottawa. He grew up in the United Arab Emirates in the city of Dubai and currently lives in Ottawa .
His competitions
He participated in the Arab Games in Algeria in 2023, and won the gold medal twice in the 100-meter backstroke race on July 5 and 6, 2023.
