Information
The
18-year-old Abdul Rahman Zuhair Tantish won the bronze medal after he came
third in the junior category (sprint) in the Arab Triathlon Championship held
in Sharm El-Sheikh.
Wattish
is the only representative of Palestine in the tournament, as he was part of
the Palestinian delegation and participated in the tournament as a technical
and administrative staff.
And a
triathlon game, or what is known as the modern triathlon, is a combination of
several games, namely swimming (750 metres), cycling (20 kilos) and a free 5
kilometer run.
Muhammad
Abu Tair, head of the Palestinian Federation of the Modern Triathlon,
participated in the meetings of the General Assembly of the Arab Federation for
the game, which was held in the city of Sharm El-Sheikh in the Arab Republic of
Egypt on the sidelines of the Arab International Championship.
Abu
Tair proposed the establishment of a Palestinian championship in which all
players of the game in Palestine and players from all Arab countries
participate in support of the Palestinian heroes and the Palestinian cause, in
the Arab Republic of Egypt, where the meeting announced the study of the
proposal and then officially respond to it.
