The player Hiyam Zamo won the gold
in the first Palestinian Classic Chess Championship at the level of the
southern governorates of Palestine, although she was equal on points with the
player Hadeel Maghari and the player Sumaya Abu Maktoum, and they all had 6
points out of 7 rounds, and they were separated by the international
tie-breaking system "Buchels".
The tournament, which was hosted by
Al-Wehda Academy in Gaza City (Tel Al-Hawa), under the supervision and
organization of the Palestinian Chess Federation, witnessed the participation
of the two youngest girls, Jouri Al-Efranji and Malika Kahil.
