Muhammad Barakat (1984-2024) is a Palestinian international football player . He was nicknamed (the lion or the legend). He was the first 100th player in the history of Palestinian football. Barakat scored 114 goals for Shabab Khan Yunis Club. He last played as an attacking team for the Gaza Strip League club. Gaza.

His career

Barakat achieved victory with the Palestine national team on March 2, 2013, with a 1-0 victory over Bangladesh in the Asian Challenge Cup qualifiers . This was his first appearance. His team also won 9-0 over the Northern Mariana Islands in the same tournament two days later. Despite this, he was not selected to play in the Challenge Cup. Asian Cup 2014 , and his last appearance with the national team was on April 17, 2013, and they won 2-0 against Qatar.

His death

He was martyred on March 11, 2024 during the Palestinian-Israeli war . He was 39 years old, and his body was found in his destroyed home in Khan Yunis.
