Student Sarah Imad Abdo from the eleventh grade from Al-Bireh Al-Jadeeda Girls Secondary School won the Talented Student Competition organized by the King Abdul Aziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in cooperation with the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO).
The students represent 15 Arab countries: the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, the Sultanate of Oman, Palestine, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Iraq, Yemen, Tunisia, Libya, Kuwait, Morocco, Sudan, and Algeria.
It is noteworthy that “Mawhiba” is an annual scientific competition targeting students from the sixth grade of primary school to the third grade of middle school, and aims to discover distinguished students in the Arab world in science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology, with the aim of enrolling them in specialized training programs. To train and qualify them to participate in international competitions.
It is noteworthy that the student Sarah represented the Ramallah Education Directorate as part of a team that included 7 other students who won the competition at the national level.
