Ms. Ibtisam Abu Al-Haija is an expert in the field of water and climate change in the agricultural sector for more than 20 years, where she works as Director of the Drought and Climate Change Department in the Ministry of Agriculture. She began her work as an agricultural water and irrigation expert, and then began working in the field of climate change, where she was the head of the agricultural sector team that developed the national accreditation plan for agriculture, and she is now the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture in the National Climate Change Committee.
Bear a. Abu Al-Hija holds a master’s degree in water and environmental sciences from Birzeit University in 2015, and a bachelor’s degree in agriculture with a specialization in soil and irrigation. She is a certified trainer in the field of management skills.
And she was a. Abu Al-Hija has been a member of many projects related to climate change in the agricultural sector since 2009 until today. She is the head of the agricultural team that carried out the first mitigation project that was successfully implemented and was entitled “Developing a low-carbon olive chain in Palestine.”
She strongly supports work in the field of climate change. Through the nature of her work and personal life, she tries to spread a culture of mitigating the impact of climate change .
