Information
The electricity crisis facing the Gaza Strip since mid-2006 prompted Palestinian student Sabri Al-Farra (19 years old) to generate electricity with simple tools and the lowest costs.
Al-Farra’s experiment is based on generating electricity from scratch at a very low cost by relying on motor power, using CDs, two “motor” generators, and LEDs, and attaching them to a wooden base, where the cylinders rotate linked to the motor, which in turn works to generate electrical charges.
Al-Farra, who studies renewable energy engineering at Al-Azhar University, called on the relevant authorities to pay attention to inventors in Gaza and support them so that they can develop their ideas.
