For more than three decades, Ammar Aker has been a prominent Palestinian Executive and Entrepreneur, boasting extensive experience across various regional and international markets. He notably held the position of CEO at Palestine Telecom Group (PalTel) from 2010 until 2022, currently serving as a member of its Board of Directors. Prior to this role, he served as CEO of Palestine Cellular Communications Company (Jawwal), and previously held the position of CFO within the same organization.
A recent addition to his impressive portfolio is his appointment as Chairman of the Board of ARKAAN Real Estate Co., Palestine's largest publicly-traded real estate company, boasting assets nearing $400M. Additionally, he assumes the role of Chairman at VTEL Middle East and Africa (MEA), alongside serving as a board member of PADICO Holdings and as a member of the board of trustees for An-Najah National University.
Beyond his corporate endeavors, Ammar actively contributes to various international, regional, and local organizations. Mr. Aker's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science degree in accounting from Kent State University, Ohio.
