Abeer Abu Ghaith ( 1985-), Palestinian technology entrepreneur . She founded MENA Alliances and is an official partner in StayLinked . Abu Ghaith is the first female technology entrepreneur in Palestine, and contributes to providing job opportunities for people in weak and technologically fragile areas such as Gaza .
Her life
Abeer was born in Madaba Palestinian refugee camp in Jordan and lived there for 12 years, then returned to Palestine with her family. She has nine siblings and is the second in order. She studied computer systems engineering at Palestine Polytechnic University in 2002, and after graduating in 2007 , she began teaching at the university. She then took over as director of the Women's Campaign International in the Arab region.
She started working at StayLinked during 2013-2015, doing translation , data entry , graphic design , online marketing, website development, and connecting talented Palestinians with companies in the US and the Middle East to provide them with job opportunities. In early 2015, she founded her company, MENA Alliances, to provide employment opportunities for people living in vulnerable areas.
In 2016, she joined the Harvard Kennedy School as a member of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women -US program , a State Department program for women's entrepreneurship in the Middle East and North Africa .
She obtained her MSc in Business Innovation from Birkbeck College , University of London in 2018, and then returned to work at MENA Alliances as CEO .
