Rima Nazzal is a member of the secretariat of the General Union of Palestinian Women, where she coordinates their legal portfolio. Previously, she worked for the Governorate of Nablus in multiple capacities: as the director of the Department of Women, the advisor of cultural affairs and women’s issues to the governor, and the general manager of financial and administrative management.
Nazzal is also a writer and journalist, and she has published research on women’s political participation and women peace, and security; is on the editorial board of “Al-Tasamoh” magazine, which is issued by the Ramallah Center for Human Rights; and writes a weekly column for Al-Ayyam newspaper. She is active in several Palestinian human rights and women’s associations. Ms. Nazzal earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Damascus.
