Information
Palestinian student Hanan Al-Jebrini (20 years old), from the city of Hebron in the south of the occupied West Bank, dedicates her artistic skills to being environmentally friendly, and works to encourage those around her to be like her.
Al-Jebrini collects solid waste waste, such as plastic, metals, wood, and stones, and makes artistic masterpieces, various models, and various logos from them, which have material value and have an aesthetic character.
The young Palestinian woman who recycles waste aims to preserve the environment. She uses simple tools that carpenters and blacksmiths rely on, as well as stationery, and her ultimate goal is to reduce the percentage of waste in the cities of Palestine.
Hanan Al-Jebrini studies nutrition at Hebron University. She has a talent for plastic art, and she intends for the models she makes from waste to be creative and impressive, such as watches, artistic models, and other models that express the Arab and Palestinian heritage.
Al-Jebrini tells Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that she has excelled in recycling waste through the new ideas she creates, in addition to the nature of the waste she recycles, as she deals with everything, even food waste. “The recycling process is inexpensive, but it takes a lot of effort as it is a manual process.”

She previously participated in a special exhibition, held by the Hebron Municipality, and it was well received by everyone who visited it, so much so that anyone who sees what she produces is amazed when they learn that these beautiful things were made from waste.
The environmentally friendly artist wants to develop her project, and wants to reach the international level through the ideas she presents and artistic paintings handmade from garbage, which can be purchased in homes and workplaces.
Al-Jebrini aspires to establish a private company in the near future. When establishing her company, she wants to coordinate with Palestinian companies to invest in their waste for the purpose of preserving the environment and transforming it into something that can be used, in addition to developing handicraft activities. She offers workshops for waste recycling enthusiasts, most of whose participants are students.
