After the student Amal Muhammad Shawabkeh (15 years old) from Al-Fawwar Camp, south of Hebron, won in a project submitted to the Al-Nayzak Foundation and ranked seventh in Palestine, after submitting the project “No Sliding on the Roads” - she was sent on an educational mission. Intensive training was provided to the American Space Agency, NASA, the Aviation and Science Museum, and the American University of Maryland to present its project.
Shawabkeh is currently presenting her project in the presence of a large number of visitors, specialists and academics at NASA and the University of Maryland, as reported on Al Jazeera News Network.
In an interview with the Director of the Mission to Washington, Engineer Sherine Al-Husseini - Director of the Al-Nayzak Foundation - she said that Amal gave a wonderful presentation that amazed the audience. Amal, accompanied by the Palestinian delegation, will also visit the Palestinian Embassy in Washington and meet with the Palestinian Ambassador.
Amal also participated with the Palestinian delegation in intensive training at the Institute of Science and Aviation and NASA, and accompanied the delegation to the American University of Maryland in the robotic laboratories.
It is worth mentioning that the student, Amal Shawabkeh, is one of the outstanding students in the ninth grade at the girls’ school in Al-Fawwar camp, south of Hebron, and she had presented a project entitled “No Sliding on the Roads,” where she found a solution to the problem of frost formation on the roads, and her project depends on modifying the asphalt by adding Silica and rubber materials to prevent frost formation, and ranked seventh in the Scientific and Technological Leadership Program held by the Meteor Foundation.
