It was recently announced that Dr. Mays Alaa El-Din Qasim Awad has been appointed Director-General of the Hasib Al-Sabbagh Center for Excellence and Technology at the Arab American University, according to what was published by Raya Media Network.
Mays Awad held for ten years the position of Director of the Quality Department at the Arab American University, and a part-time lecturer in the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences at the Arab American University, in addition to several other positions as a business development consultant for the IMA Academy for Training, Business Development and Tourism, and a second consultant for strategic planning for a European institution. Also, Dr. Awad is a founding member of the Youth Committee at the Community Resource Development Center in Nablus, a supporting member of the Youth Committee in Nablus Governorate, and an active member of the Center for Biodiversity and Environment, the Young Scientists Forum, and other civil and civil institutions in Palestine.
Awad represented Palestinian youth in 2000 in the World Youth Parliament, which was organized by UNESCO in Paris, where she was chosen to deliver a speech by the participating Arab countries at the time, which resulted in the adoption of the World Youth Document, which was ratified and adopted at the United Nations in New York.
She was also a member of the team participating in workshops to review the proposed amendments to the ISO 9001:2015 standard before approving it for implementation instead of the ISO 9001:2008 standard, and participated in many conferences.
Mays Awad is on the verge of completing her doctorate degree in strategic management from the Arab American University, from which she also obtained a master’s degree in strategic planning, and holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from An-Najah National University. She also obtained specialized certificates in the field of business, quality, and risk management from institutions. International and globally accredited.
