The Palestinian student Bisan Issam Khazaei, from the Yarmouk camp south of Damascus who was displaced to Lebanon, excelled in the eighth grade at her school, “Al-Abrar Educational Center,” in the Jeb Jannine area in the Western Bekaa.
The center’s administration handed the student Bisan a certificate of appreciation in which she said: “We at the Al-Abrar Educational Center are pleased to inform you that your daughter has won the first category in the first and second semesters and the third semester of the 2016/2017 academic year, and for that she deserved the appreciation of her teachers and the administration’s acknowledgment of her competence and diligence.” In appreciation of her excellence, the school exempted her from the final exam at the centre.
  It is noteworthy that Palestinian students displaced from Syria to Lebanon suffer from great difficulties represented by the difference between the Syrian curriculum and the Lebanese curriculum, as the Lebanese curriculum mainly relies on the foreign language in teaching, unlike the Syrian curriculum.
