Information
Khalil Yousef Ahmed Bseiso was born in Gaza City in 1860. He worked in trade and agriculture, owned vast lands, and was appointed head of the Gaza Municipal Council for one year.
He worked in the branch of the Society for Union and Progress in Gaza after the end of the Ottoman rule, and among those who were with him in this society were Ahmed Arif Al-Husseini, Haj Saeed Al-Shawa, and Sheikh Mohieddin Abdel Shafi. In 1913, Khalil Bseiso was chosen to represent Gaza and Beersheba in the All-Jerusalem Council.
He was appointed after the British occupation of Palestine as a judge in the Municipal Court. He had a special interest in the agricultural renaissance and was the first to introduce the use of agricultural tractors in the Gaza region in 1911.
He died in 1939 and was buried in Gaza.
