He was born in Nablus, educated at Al-Najah School, and resumed his education at the National College in Choueifat (Lebanon). Before the United Nations announced its decision to divide Palestine into two Arab and Jewish states, he called for the establishment of a political party that he called (the Palestinian Arab Progress Party), and after he was certain that the partition decision would be clearly implemented, he retired from politics. However, he remained a supporter and fighter for all the Arab revolutionaries in Aden, the Arabian Gulf, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco. The first to realize the importance of Sharia court records and return to them as a reliable source for writing history. He wrote more than thirty books, the most famous and important in history being “The History of Jabal Nablus and Balqa,” in four parts. He collected a huge museum of rare antiques and archaeological materials of high and expensive historical and archaeological value, and the occupation soldiers contributed to looting it during the uprising.
He published political articles in the newspapers “Al-Sirat Al-Mustaqim”, “Al-Carmel”, “Al-Yarmouk”, “The Islamic University”, “Al-Hayat Al-Qudsiyah”, and “Al-Deffa”. He also published historical and intellectual articles in Al-Azhar Magazine, Al-Tamadun Al-Salami in Damascus, Al-Hajj Magazine in Mecca, Al-Hayat in Beirut, Huda Al-Islam in Jordan, and Al-Sirat Al-Mustaqim in Baghdad. The historian Al-Nimr is a poet, and one of his poems is a poem about moral intoxication.
