Juliana Seraphim (born 1934 in Jaffa , died 2005) was a Palestinian painter.
her life
Seraphim was born in Jaffa , Palestine in 1934. She was displaced with her family in the 1948 Nakba to Sidon, and moved to Beirut in 1952, where she studied art and worked in refugee relief.
Her artistic biography
She studied painting at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts , where she worked with well-known Lebanese artists, including the Lebanese painter John Khalifeh (1923-1978), and held her first exhibition in his private studio. This was followed by several exhibitions that gained her recognition in the artistic community. She received scholarships in Madrid and Florence, and represented Lebanon in the international exhibitions of Alexandria (1962), Paris (1963), and Sao Paulo (1967).
