Lana Abu Hijleh, an engineer and a Palestinian expert in development and business, was chosen among the most inspiring women in the world for the year 2015 AD, according to the BBC of London.


Birth and upbringing
Lina Abu Hijleh was born in Cairo, then she and her family returned to Palestine when she was five years old. Lana's mother was martyred during the occupation forces' invasion of Nablus in October 2002.

Scientific and practical life
She studied engineering, and has been working in the field of development and business for thirty years. Abu Hijleh is a member and volunteer in a number of private sector institutions, Palestinian organizations, and international non-governmental organizations.

The positions you hold
Formerly CHF International, Regional Director of Global Communities in Palestine, and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Palestinian Folklore Troupe.
