Dr.. Yusuf Awwad Yusuf al-Shrafi (born on April 15, 1963 in Jabalia camp, Gaza) is a deputy in the Palestinian Legislative Council, and head of the preaching and guidance department of the Association of Palestinian Scholars. Married and father of 5 sons and 5 daughters. He obtained the highest votes in the last 2006 Palestinian legislative elections (37,106 votes) at the level of the North Gaza governorate.
Study and education
He holds a PhD in Hadith and its sciences from the University of the Holy Qur’an and Islamic Sciences in Sudan, with an “excellent” grade.
MA in Hadith and its sciences from the University of Jordan in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Bachelor's degree in Fundamentals of Religion from the Faculty of Fundamentals of Religion at the Islamic University of Gaza.
He holds many courses in computer and teaching skills.
Business and memberships
Member of the Council of the Palestine Scholars Association in the Gaza Strip.
Vice President of Al-Quds International Foundation in the Gaza Strip.
Vice-Chairman of the Central Reform Committee since its establishment until the 2006 legislative elections, and a member therein.

Member of the Education and Social Issues Committee and the Economic Committee in the Legislative Council.

Palestinian reconciliation
