Muhammad Ziara (January 1, 1956 in the Rimal neighborhood -) is a Palestinian civil engineer who has held the position of Palestinian Minister of Public Works and Housing within the government of Muhammad Shtayyeh since April 13, 2019. [2] He holds a doctorate in civil engineering . 

Growing up and educational attainment

Muhammad Muhammad Salim Ziara was born in the Al-Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City on January 1, 1956. He joined Alexandria University in 1975 and obtained a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from there in 1980. He obtained a master’s degree in civil engineering from the Georgia Technological Institute in 1982 and later obtained a doctorate degree from Heriot-Watt University in 1993. [3]

On November 25, 2019, the Palestinian News Agency reported that the security services in the Gaza Strip detained Muhammad Ziara at the Beit Hanoun checkpoint and confiscated his mobile phone, during his return to Gaza from Ramallah .
