Jawad Al-Anani , a Jordanian politician and economist of Palestinian origins . Born in 1943 in Halhul . He held several important positions in the state as head of the Royal Court, a minister, and director general of the Social Security Institution . He served as Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply in the first government of Hani Mulki and the second government of Hani Mulki .
Academic qualifications
Dr. Jawad Al-Anani holds a doctorate degree in economics from the University of Georgia in the United States of America since the year 1975. He obtained a master’s degree in economics from Vanderbilt University in Tennessee in 1970, and a bachelor’s degree from the American University in Cairo in 1967.
Positions
Al-Anani began his career as a principal researcher in the Economic Research Department at the Central Bank of Jordan during the period (1967-1977), then as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor and Director-General of the General Organization for Social Security during the period (1977-1979).
Position of President of the Royal Scientific Society during the period (1986-1989).
The last head of the royal court during the reign of King Hussein bin Talal .
Deputy Prime Minister for Social Development and Minister of Foreign Affairs during the period (1997-1998).
Minister of Information and Prime Ministerial Affairs, and served as a member of the Jordanian Senate during the period 1993-2001.
In June 2016, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply in the first government of Hani Mulki, in addition to the position of Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs. , He retained his position in Hani al-Mulqi’s second government as Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, but his ministry was replaced and he was assigned the position of Minister of State for Investment Affairs.
