Nabil Talib Saeed Marouf (September 2, 1946 in Deir al-Qasi) is a Palestinian politician and diplomat .
His upbringing and education
Nabil Talib Saeed Maarouf was born in the village of Deir al-Qasi in the Upper Galilee, northern Palestine, on September 2, 1946 . He obtained a bachelor's degree in history from Beirut Arab University in 1969 , then obtained a master's degree in history and education from the same university. He also obtained a diploma in education in 1970 from UNESCO.
His beginnings in political and diplomatic work
Nabil Marouf joined the ranks of the Fatah movement in 1965 , and worked during the period ( 1982-1989 ) as Director of Jerusalem Affairs at the Organization of the Islamic Conference in Jeddah , then as Assistant Secretary-General of the organization from 1989 until 1993.

Ambassador of Palestine to Spain ( 1994 - 2005 ).
Dean of the Council of Arab Ambassadors to Spain since 1999 .
Member of the Palestinian National Council .
Member of the Palestinian Revolutionary Council .
Advisor to Palestinian President Yasser Arafat for Islamic Affairs.
Ambassador of Palestine to Turkey ( 2006 - 2014).
Ambassador of Palestine to Canada ( 2015 - 2019 ).
Medals
On October 18, 2005 , he was decorated with the Spanish Grand Cross in recognition of his efforts to strengthen Spanish-Palestinian relations , and also on the occasion of the end of his duties as the Palestinian Ambassador to Spain .
On January 26, 2020 , Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas awarded him the State of Palestine Order of Merit in recognition of his diplomatic and militant career.
