Born on December 29, 1950, a Palestinian doctor and health minister, born in Nablus, studied medicine at the University of Athens, the capital of Greece, is a specialist in chest diseases, trained and worked in its hospitals in Greece. 

Achievements and Awards

He worked on international cooperation projects, the Palestinian International Ministry of Health, 1999 and 2004.

In 2004, he moved to work with the World Health Organization in Jerusalem, as Director of Health Programs.

In June 2007, he was appointed Minister of Health in Salam Fayyad's first government.
