Amjad Mahmoud Muhammad Ghanem (born on April 13, 1965 in Deir al-Ghusun) is a Palestinian academic and politician. On April 13, 2019, he assumed the position of Secretary-General of the Palestinian Council of Ministers. Amjad Mahmoud Mohamed Ghanem worked as a lecturer at An-Najah National University from 1996 until 2007, in addition to a number of American and Canadian universities. He also worked for several international organizations, including the World Bank, the World Health Organization, the German Society for International Cooperation, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency.
Ghanem holds a Bachelor’s degree in “Electrical Engineering” from the University of Jordan in Amman in 1988. And a Master’s degree in “Artificial Intelligence Systems” from the University of Jordan in Amman in 1990. And a Master’s degree in “Intelligent Control Engineering in Management” from New Mexico State University in 1994 And a doctorate degree in "Industrial Engineering and Artificial Intelligence Engineering" from New Mexico State University, USA, in 1995.
Amjad Ghanem has authored and published dozens of research and applied scientific papers in specialized international periodicals and conferences, his books centered on artificial intelligence algorithms, total quality control and management and its applications, information systems, performance indicators system in government institutions, and evaluation of companies with the aim of raising and improving the quality of export capacity, A statistical description of the relationship between maintenance and energy, and others.
