Safwat Ibrahim Abdel Aziz Ibrigith is a Palestinian diplomat who was Deputy Palestinian Ambassador to France. He currently serves as the resident Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Senegal , and non-resident Ambassador to Gambia , Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde .
Practical life
On July 23, 2004, he was promoted to the rank of Director General in the General Personnel Council, and was assigned to work as an advisor within the State of Palestine’s mission to UNESCO.
On 1 August 2015, he was appointed Head of Mission of the Embassy of the State of Palestine to Senegal. On 25 October 2015, the Senegalese President accepted his credentials.
On 14 January 2016, he presented his credentials as the non-resident Ambassador of the State of Palestine to The Gambia.
On 22 March 2016, he presented his credentials as non-resident Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Cape Verde.
On June 1, 2016, he was granted the rank of Ambassador.
On November 14, 2016, he presented his credentials as non-resident Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau.
On August 16, 2022, Ibraheem said in a Facebook post: “ After seven years of service in West Africa and consultation with the Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, I am honored to announce the end of my mission as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenary of the State of Palestine with the Republic of Senegal, Gambia, Cabo Verde and Guinea-Bissau .”
On 3 September 2022, Senegalese President Macky Sall awarded him the Commander of the Order of the Lion of National Merit by presidential decree issued on 1 September 2022.
